Armenia-Japan Relations. Possible Ways of the Armenian Genocide Recognition Process
The purpose of this research is to study the possible ways of the recognition process for the Armenian Genocide, focusing on the dynamics of the relations between Armenia and Japan. The article aims to present the attitude of the Japanese side during the years of the Armenian Genocide and afterward, particularly in mitigating the consequences of the Armenian refugees and this tragedy. Through the aforementioned fact-finding episodes, an attempt will be made to highlight a number of issues that may be the basis for Japan’s acceptance and recognition of the Armenian Genocide resolution in future. It is understandable that Japan’s historical ties and economic interests can create essential obstacles in our region regarding the recognition of the Armenian Genocide, however, there is a need to gather facts, inherit scientific materials to the generations and continue the efforts.
